Mira was invited to create a new dance work for the Short+Sweet Festival  which was performed in the month of November at the Tom Man theatre. The choreography is called ‘Homage to Edith Cowan’ who was the first woman in the parliament in W.A danced by Anna Querin. The first piece of music with the beautiful violins was composed by Nick Wales/Coda. The second piece of music was commissioned by Mira Mansell and Vanessa Chammas, professional name in the music world Alyrah composed ‘God’s Work’. Since when Edith Cowan was a young woman religious beliefs were an extra source for a woman to find comfort and spiritual help and healing. 

The dance work was well received and Entity Dance Collective is looking forward to performing this choreography at other events in the future, possibly for the International Women’s Day in March 2022
