Mira’s contemporary classes offer an intense workout that help strengthen a dancer’s physique and includes a variety of Mira’s original choreography. To complement the contemporary classes the floor/bar class is a great opportunity to stretch and workout the dancer’s body by focusing on balance, core strength and flexibility.
This class is designed for all levels, and for dancers who want to improve their technique or for those with little or no dance experience who simply want the visible benefits from training with a dance professional with over 20 years of experience.
Come and enjoy Mira’s inspiring energetic classes.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE CLASS
Classes are open level, but the Saturday classes are more challenging. Everyone is welcome!
The classes are based on Chappie’s, Margaret Chapple, work who was the director of the largest dance school in Sydney called ‘The Bodenwieser Dance Centre’ until her death in 1996. She was the most respected contemporary dance teacher in Australia and left a wonderful contemporary syllabus behind. The second technique is the world renown Graham technique based on Martha Graham’s amazing work.
