This piece is inspired by Caroline Chrisholm's humanitarian work and spiritual vision. She came to Australia in the early colonial days, and throughout her time here provided education and opportunities for immigrant women, who were often ill-treated, having to preform menial jobs or hard labour for very little pay. She returned to England to instigate legislation changes in parliament in order to protect the rights of these women. Entity Dance collective hopes that this piece will communicate the value of human kindness and courage in overcoming life's hard obstacles.
